Randal (Randy) Yunker began his new position as principal at Roselawn Condon in July, 2000 and is already working hard to serve the students and the community of Roselawn. He is conscientious, friendly, and a caring person with a good a sense of humor, who is concerned about children and serious about bringing excellence in education and pride in learning.

Mr. Yunker has been in the education field for 21 years. He has performed the following duties: taught music and physical education, served as a consulting music teacher, was an intermediate lead teacher, served as an assistant principal at Pleasant Run Middle school for 2 years and most recently was the principal at Porter Middle School, which closed due to decreasing enrollment, in the Cincinnati Public School District.

Mr. Yunker is married to Kathryn Yunker who is an accomplished Preschool/Kindergarten teacher at Sands Montessori. They have a daughter named Kristin who attends the University of Cincinnati. She is a sophomore with majors in graphic design and fine arts.

Mr. Yunker is a licensed high school official/instructor for volleyball, basketball and fastpitch softball. You may have seen him officiating games at Roselawn Condon and Woodlward High School in recent years. Now you will see him at Roselawn Condon supervising sporting events.

He enjoys swimming, golfing, fishing, exercising and traveling. He believes in working hard and playing hard in his spare time. Mr. Yunker is looking forward to working with the parents and community members. He comments:

I am looking forward to being the next principal at Roselawn Condon. With the help of the staff, community and parents, I would like to see Roselawn Condon become a school that focuses on excellence in education and pride in learning. I believe in educating the whole child: social, emotional, psychological, physical and intellectual portions. Additionally, I love sports and support the efforts of the various community organizations that are providing the afterschool programs that involve our youths in a positive manner.

Mr. Yunker believes that if the parents, community and school work together the students will possess the necessary skills to become productive citizens and the educational process will be realized.
